Introduction

Woodworm Toolbox Pro combines a complete suite of tools with many useful functions in a single uniform user interface.

The individual program modules are accessed via a menu that is always accessible in the main program window.

You can use several modules at the same time. For example, you can activate both the stopwatch and the countdown timer and while they are running you can then select and use a third tool.

System Requirements

The program requirements of Woodworm Toolbox Pro are minimal.

All you need are an IBM-compatible PC and 5MB of disk space running Microsoft Windows 95 or higher and Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 or later.

Installing the Program

(CD-ROM Version)

Insert the CD-ROM in your computer's CD or DVD drive.

If the installer does not start automatically open My Computer folder on your desktop and double-click on the icon for your CD or DVD drive. Then in the window that opens double-click on the file setup.exe (this may also be shown just as setup) and follow the instructions on the screen.

After you have installed the program you can remove the CD from the drive. You do not need to insert it to start the program.

Uninstalling the Program

To remove the program from your computer open the Woodworm Toolbox Pro program group in the Windows Start menu and select the option Remove Woodworm Toolbox Pro. Then just follow the instructions displayed.

Configuration

Click on the program symbol ("W") in the top left corner of the program window to display the program menu.

  • In the Settings submenu you can specify whether you want the program to start automatically with Windows. You can also define the color and style of the program window.
  • You can also activate the Always on Top setting to prevent the Woodworm Toolbox Pro window from being hidden by other windows on your screen.

Autostart

You can configure Woodworm Toolbox Pro to be launched automatically every time you start Windows.

When the program is started automatically it is displayed minimized as an icon in the System Tray, at the right hand end of the Taskbar at the bottom of your screen.

  • To activate autostart click on the "W" icon in the program title bar to display the menu. Then select Autostart in the Settings submenu and click on "Start with Windows". Selecting the option once activates the function, selecting it again deactivates it. A check mark next to the function indicates that it is active.

Module Display

This function allows you to permanently deactivate program modules that you do not want to use. Deactivated modules are removed from the program menu.

Audio Files

In the program menu you can associate audio files for the sound output with the Alarm, Countdown and ISDN Monitor modules (one audio file each). These files can be activated and deactivated individually.

Appearance

You can change the appearance of the program window with the options in the Settings > Appearance submenu in the program menu. You can choose from three different backgrounds (Silver / Blue / Brown) and a light or dark display window.

These changes are applied immediately. You don't need to restart the program.

User Profile

The User Profile function (program menu) automatically saves all program settings under the name of the current Windows user. This function is activated by default when you start the program for the first time.

If you deactivate the User Profile function the last settings saved will also be available for all other user accounts on the same computer for which the function is also deactivated.

Language Settings

You can change the language of the texts displayed in the program with the Settings option in the program menu.

The changes are applied immediately. You don't need to restart the program.

Time and Date Formats:

Changing the language does not change the time and date display formats! These are controlled by your Regional Options settings in the Windows Control Panel.

Always on Top Mode

Activating the Always on Top option in the program menu prevents Woodworm Toolbox Pro from being hidden by other program windows. When this option is active (indicated by a check in the menu) the program is automatically displayed on top of any other windows on your screen.

Minimized Mode

Clicking on the Close ("X") icon in the program title bar switches Woodworm Toolbox Pro to minimized mode. It is then displayed as an icon in the System Tray, at the right hand end of the Taskbar at the bottom of your screen. All active modules remain active in minimized mode.

  • To exit the program instead of minimizing it select Exit in the program menu or right-click on the System Tray icon and select Exit.
  • To display the program again just click on the System Tray icon with the left mouse button.
  • Clicking on the System Tray icon with the right mouse button displays a menu with two options: Display Program, which also maximizes the program again, and Exit which exits the program.
